 Balustrade Dimensions &   Custom Handrails

Our stunning frameless glass balustrades stand at 1.010 metres high, which is the Australian industry standard. The glass panels are installed using Duplex 2205 or 316 stainless-steel spigots, and you can also choose to have your fittings in polished, matte black or custom colours.

Once they are bolted down, the height will be between 1.030 to 1.050 metre. So, to ensure your safety, we can install various handrail options so you can go up and down the stairs easily. Our handrails are flat in design and has the dimensions 50mm x 10mm. You can choose from either stainless-steel, timber or aluminium rails for a complementary finish.

How do you anchor frameless glass?

Concrete slab with tiles surface core drilled into the concrete and grouted with SIKA rapid set HES grout. Timber or composite decking bolt down spigots using stainless steel 75mm x 8mm coach screws into 140 x 35 mm treated pine under the decking fixed with 4 x 100 x 6 mm coach screws.

What are spigots and fixing made from?

The spigots are from duplex 2205 marine grade stainless steel.
Our fixings are 304 or 316 marine grade.
Our lock and hingers are all 316 stainless steel.

How strong is the glass?

We use 8mm and 12mm toughen glass that is certified and stamped to Australian standards AS / NZ 2208. Toughen glass can tolerate enormous impact to the panel. If for some reason the glass breaks the glass crumbles into small pieces and not dangerous large sharp edges.

Do I need a pool safety certificate?

Yes we supply a form 15 and 16 to the pool certifier. The pool fence certifier then registers the pool fence with the local government departments.

What’s the difference between a pool safety certificate and a form 15?

A pool safety certificate needs to obtained by every pool owner under the QLD pool safety laws. The certificate can only be issued by a licensed pool safety inspector or certifier. The certificate confirms that the pool fence complies and meets all the requirements of the current pool laws. A form 15 certifies that all materials and fittings used to construct your pool fence have been made to Australian standards and has been installed correctly to comply with all currant building codes engineering codes and pool fence laws.
